It’s no surprise that the Northern Beaches has seen a surge in sale demand. Instead of the family trips overseas, buying a holiday home is back.
According to Domain, Avalon home prices showed the strongest growth in the far northern beaches area, with a median increase of 20.5 per cent in 2020 to $2.3 million. Palm Beach homes recorded a 13.8 per cent median rise in 2020, attaining a new high of $3.9 million.
In addition, agents are reporting 70 percent of sales are being transacted off market, buyers going in early with bullish offers.
Avalon has certainly seen a resurgence from locals to holiday home purchases. I have included some of my picks of the week which all offer different lifestyles at different price brackets. Clearly a waterfront is top of the list for anyone but if you cant afford that yet, there is still some very well priced homes available to add to your property portfolio and give you a place to holiday and to lease out. My understanding of the short term holiday market is very positive.
